Concert special al formatiei Alexandru Balanescu Luni , 2 martie ora 20.00 la Centrul Cultural Maghiar . Alexandru Balanescu este unul dintre cei mai talentati si vizionari violonisti , ca si un prolific compozitor. Cu un repertoriu centrat pe muzica contemporana, si cea de avangarda , Alexandru Balanescu este mereu in cautarea noului. Concertul este un proiect unic, realizat in parteneriat de Centrul Roman de Informare de la Bruxelles si Centrul Cultural Maghiar , cu participarea speciala a Ancienne Belgique si a agentiei internationale de impresariat artistic Linkwadraat. In incercarea de a depasi limitele performantei artistice, cvartetul condus de Alexandru Balanescu si-a dezvaluit performantele interpretative de neegalat , caracterizate prin sensibilitate si prin pasiunea intercomunicarii si intrepatrunderii diferitelor genuri muzicale. Concertele lor sunt recunoscute pentru energia electrizanta si dinamismul interpretarii. Au cantat in locatii diferit de contrastante, cum ar fi Banca Centrala Londoneza si Fabrica de Tricotaje din New York. Au evoluat in deschidera concertului formatiei Pet Shop Boys pe stadionul Wembley din Londra in prezenta a peste 10000 de spectatori si se afla mereu in cautarea altor locatii , care sa le permita sa isi prezinte muzica intr-un context nou.

World famous act at HCB! After the most prominous stages in the world. The Balanescu Quartet is going to perform in the building of the Hungarian Culture Brussels (HCB) on Monday, 2 March at 8pm.
Since its formation in 1987, the Balanescu Quartet has acquired a reputation as one of the leading contemporary music groups in the world today. The search to push the limits of the string quartet, has revealed an ensemble with a sensibility nearer to a band rather than a classical group, and reflects Balanescu’s passionate belief in the intercommunication and fluidity between different musical fields. Their live performances are notable for their sheer energy and dynamism. They have played in locations as wildly contrasting as London’s South Bank Centre and New York’s Knitting Factory – they even opened to 10.000 Pet Shop Boys fans at Wembley Arena, and are constantly looking for venues in which to present their music in the new context.
Alexander Balanescu is one of the most visionary and exciting violinists of our time as well as a prolific composer. With a repertoire centered in contemporary in new music, he is always looking to the future.
The concert is a unique project funded together by the Romanian Information Centre and Hungarian Culture Brussels with a special co-operation of the prominent Ancienne Belgique and world music agency Linkwadraat.
